Job Summary

The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil Engineer that will eventually transition into project management for immediate employment in the San Francisco office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Civil Engineering, specific to transit and transportation systems.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Under minimal direction, completes engineering assignments of advanced complexity

  • May provide technical guidance to a modest sized group of engineers, designers, and specialists

  • Understands and assists with the planning and scheduling of engineering tasks within a specific discipline

  • Maintains positive working relationships with peer leaders

  • Builds productive relationships with organizations in and external to Engineering

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering related discipline

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of a specific discipline and has basic understanding of other disciplines

  • Well versed in the preparation of construction documents, plans, specifications and estimates

  • Well versed in the process of preparing and checking of calculations as well as the approval, revision, retention, and storage of calculations with a specific discipline

  • Well versed in the review and checking of construction and vendor drawings

  • Understanding of the external factors that impact specific engineering problems

  • Proficient in AutoCAD

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • E.I.T. required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • P.E Licensed in the state of California
