Position Title Senior Civil Engineer

AECOM’s San Diego Office is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Water Department. AECOM is proud to provide employees with interesting and exciting projects.
The responsibilities of this role may include, but is not limited to:
Performs work, which may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements
Modifies established guidelines, devises new approaches, applies existing criteria in new ways and draws conclusions from comparative situations
Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected and may be the first level of direct and sustained supervision of other engineers or technicians
Design and analysis of stormwater sewer systems and hydraulic structures such as culverts and open channels
Design and analysis of water distribution and sanitary sewage collection systems
Coordination with engineers and design technicians to prepare complete and accurate construction drawings
Preparation of detail quantity estimates and engineer’s estimates of probable construction costs
Adherence with the Company’s quality assurance/quality control process
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
10+ years design and management experience in the water and/or wastewater fields
Professional Engineering Licensure, California
Understanding of water, wastewater, groundwater, storm water, or recycled water engineering/design
Experience in taking projects from conceptual design to preparation of plans, specifications and through construction
Background in preparing engineering reports, engineering drawings and specifications for complex water projects
High level of competency with computer software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office 2000, and other applicable software packages
