Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an Electronics Technician to provide Technical support to the NSWC PHD Radar ISEA. The position will be located in San Diego, CA.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical assistance conducting Material Assessments on various Radar Systems.

  2. AN/SPS-48, AN/SPS-49, AN/SPS-67, AN/SPS-73,AN/SPQ-9B

  3. Enter discrepancies found in the ships CSMP in accordance with JFMM requirements

  4. Provide technical assistance with the troubleshooting and repair of Radar Systems

  5. Provide onboard training to ships force as necessary

  6. Identify required parts necessary to restore system operations in accordance with the Original Manufactures specifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 10 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

  • Position requires an advanced knowledge in the particular area of specialization plus a broad knowledge of other disciplines.

  • Position requires working knowledge of computer hardware and software as well as mechanical, electrical, and electronic skills.

  • Good written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

  • Position requires the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.

  • Position requires travel. Approx. 30%.

  • Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
