About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Controls Specialist for immediate employment for the San Diego, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Performs project controls activities and assists project team with overall project management in the tracking, forecasting, analysis, and reporting of project costs, schedules, and key performance indicators
Monitors adherence to all contractual obligations
Reviews contracts for understanding of scope, fee, schedule, and deliverables, and all other contractual obligations
Assists in the development of a work breakdown structure for control and integrity of work to be performed as and defined by the contract
Monitors and analyzes project costs, commitments, accruals, and changes, and takes corrective action where necessary
Identifies trends and deviations to project team with recommended courses of action
Assists in the estimate at completion forecasts based on costs to date, future work effort, and progress against schedules
Provides guidance, direction, recommendations, and specialized assistance to project managers for the resolution of complex project control problems and contractual courses of action
Assists in project close-out activities
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly spreadsheet skills and ability to quickly learn new computer applications including Oracle-based proprietary programs
Ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets and documents
Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy
Willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives
Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of project management and/or scheduling software a plus
