About the Business Line

Environment

Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented CEQA Planner for immediate employment for the San Diego, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. This position is a temporary role expected to last 6+ months.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Analyze and write environmental impacts from project activities to complete environmental documents

  • Provide appropriate support to AECOM multidisciplinary teams in delivering satisfactory outcomes to the client

  • Manage and support environmental planning projects, as needed

  • Identify opportunities and build relationships in local governments

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences or related field

  • 3+ years' experience

  • Experience preparing CEQA environmental documents with knowledge of current regulations and guidance

  • Knowledge of California, and San Diego environmental regulations

  • Experience preparing numerous environmental impact analyses documents

  • Strong research and analytical abilities

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess environmental impacts with increasing responsibilities

  • Knowledge of the CEQA processes and regulatory requirements
