Job Summary

Our growing Salt Lake City office is seeking an experienced Senior Aviation Planning Project Manager for immediate employment. Candidate could possibly be based out of our Phoenix office as well.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Growing the aviation planning practice in the Southwest Area

  • Managing aviation planning projects

  • Developing solutions to policy and physical planning problems at general aviation and commercial service airports

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 8+ years of related experience; including experience with Business Development, Staff Management, Project Management, and Airport Planning

  • Proficient with FAA Advisory Circulars, Orders, and Regulations

  • Candidate must possess a proven record of strong technical skills and high quality/standards of work.

  • Should have experience in preparing airport planning documents including Airport Master Plans, Airport Layout Plans and associated narrative reports, system plans, and other specialized aviation studies

  • Software capabilities should include: AutoCAD, PathPlanner, GIS, AEDT, etc.

  • Ability to lead a team

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

  • The ability to think critically and work in a collaborative team environment is required.

  • Demonstrated experience in client management, contract management, and budget and schedule management

  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of airport planners, inclusive of hiring, retaining, mentoring and advancing, and disciplinary actions, as required

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field

  • Demonstrated experience leading business development strategies

  • Demonstrated experience leading/executing complex planning studies at a wide range of facilities (e.g. Large Hub through Part 139 regional airports)

  • Possess a strong passion for aviation
