Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Construction Quality Control Manager for immediate employment. Position will report to the Denver, CO but will physically be working on site at the Hill AFB in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviews site plans and specification packages

  • Develops construction execution and work plans

  • Develops and evaluates appropriate task hazard analyses related to the planned construction activities

  • Monitors ongoing work activities with respect to compliance to contract documents and specifications

  • Reviews recommend modifications to work flow as required

  • Applies selected management software systems to track task execution, project schedule and budget

  • Submits routine/periodic reports and prepares project completion reports

  • Creates clear, concise and organized documentation of field events and observations

  • Manages all quality control items related to the project

  • Prepares daily quality control reports

  • Manages any testing requirements

  • Manages the engineering submittal and Request for Information process

  • Implements and manages the QC program using the three phase quality control system

  • Ensures compliance with contract documentation and specifications

  • Liaises with AECOM, sub-contractors, regulatory agencies, and /or other internal departments on quality related matters (as required)

  • Works with AECOM Management and subcontractor management personnel

  • Advises team members of specification requirements and recommend actions

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience, including 5+ years as a DoD Construction Quality Control Manager

  • Familiarity with government specifications and quality control/quality assurance procedures

  • Have knowledge and familiarity with construction building codes and standards as it relates to civil, structural, mechanical and electrical trades

  • Experience on construction projects including earthwork, concrete paving, asphalt paving

  • Corps of Engineers quality control (CQC) training and certification within the last five years

  • Previous construction quality control experience

  • Proficiency with Web based interactive programs and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project)

  • Familiarity with government contracting procedures

  • Experience with Airfield/DOD POL Fuels Work and in Repairs and Construction

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience

  • Construction experience on civil projects involving concrete paving

  • Military construction experience
