Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil Engineer for contingent employment. The selected candidate will be required to mobilize to Sacramento, CA, or other locations designated by the client to support recovery efforts associated with presidentially declared disasters. This position is contingent upon award of client contract(s).

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide civil engineering technical guidance and assistance to team, client, and others

  • Prepare project plans, specifications, and estimates for civil construction projects

  • Inspect on-going project construction activities

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

  • Other duties as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration

  • Experience implementing the Stafford Act in support of Public Assistance (PA) Programs

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word

  • Due to the nation of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of related experience
