Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented Civil Engineer for immediate employment in the Rocky Hill, CT office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and design of various project elements

  • Preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverable as necessary for the bidding and construction of designed work

  • Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public may be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering - preferably Civil

  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in CT or ability to obtain within 12 months from hire

  • 5+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure engineering and design – including distribution conveyance and pumping systems

  • Excellent time management skills, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with technicians, designers, engineers and project managers for the preparation of high quality work products

  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, regulatory agency representatives and members of the public when required to represent the company

  • Positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding professionals

  • Valid driver's license

  • US citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering

  • AutoCAD skills, particularly Civil 3-D
