Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Scheduler to be based out in Riyadh. Responsible for analysing, approving/rejecting construction project schedules. Review and update all the relevant time schedules and as detailed under Duties and Responsibilities.

Roles & Responsibility:

  • Review Contractors program of work and advise Resident Engineer for the approval/Rejection of the same.

  • Review bi-weekly and weekly time schedule updates as required.

  • Records actual work progress versus planned work.

  • Produces logistics information (especially schedule information) on projects working with Planner and Construction Managers.

  • Maintains and archives historic schedule data on the Project.

  • Ensuring that the planning department run to the highest professional standards, that all information is current, and that every member of the team is receiving the information he needs to fulfil their responsibilities.

  • In line with project requirements establish and agree project reporting procedures, prepare and present monthly project progress report.

  • Review the schedules and related documents from the contractor including monthly reports and analyse the content to ensure compliance with project objectives.

  • Review schedule trends to identify problem areas and recommend corrective action to management. Monitor actual progress against planned progress.

  • Coordinate and manage the preparation and development of target construction and procurement schedules together with associated information required schedules.

  • Prepare progress monitoring tools for the management and monitoring of the above mentioned schedules. Monitor progress both on and off site. Identify deviations (progress trends) in both construction and procurement progress and suggest possible courses of corrective action.

  • Working closely with the Resident Engineer and Project Team to ensure that the ‘contract programme’ is feasible, complies with the Project Master Plan and contractual documents.

  • Interface on a daily basis with the main contractor, approved sub-contractors and internal team management.

  • Carry out studies into scheduling, manning and material flow as needed.

  • Attend on and offsite meetings.

  • Review schedules for slippage of key dates.

  • Defence / approval of any claim for time extension or major change to the schedule.

  • Monitor material and equipment procurement and construction and commissioning status.

  • Other duties as requested from time to time.

  • Issue high-level schedule weekly updates as required by Client.

  • Identify and report main issues interfering with progress.

  • Identify and report on measures for improving schedule performance.

  • Monitor the timing of submittals against schedule requirements.

  • Attend Weekly Progress and technical meetings as per established meetings regime.

  • Consistently encourage the team for compliance of AECOM’s and TBC’s SH&E procedures.

Specific skills required:

  • Must be fully conversant with Primavera P6, latest version.

  • Must be expert in MS Excel, Access and Power point

Minimum Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in the relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Equivalent
