Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Project Controls Specialist for immediate employment for the Richmond Hill, Ontario office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Change Management – tracking potential, known and approved scope changes and assisting in the development of scope change documents

  • Client Reporting – Responsible for developing and maintaining regular client focused reporting including the setup and maintenance of earned value models for projects of various sizes and complexity

  • EAC Development & Maintenance – Support the development and maintenance of project EAC forecasts within AECOM’s financial system

  • Project Finances – Responsible for analyzing and reporting on project financial metrics such as unbilled revenue and accounts receivable as well as assisting in the month-end close accounting processes

  • Invoicing – Responsible for coordinating the invoicing process and completion of all required supporting documents and schedules

  • Ad-hoc Analysis – Support the project teams by providing analysis on request ranging from burn-reporting to program level schedule analysis

  • Process Design & Automation – Assisting in the development and automation of project specific processes

  • Scheduling – support proper project planning through the utilization of CPM schedules in Microsoft Projects or Primavera P6

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree in a related field (Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting)

  • 7+ years of Project Controls experience

  • Excellent knowledge of Project Controls methodology including earned value analysis

  • Thorough understanding of Project Accounting and Project Financial metrics

  • Understanding of best practice scheduling techniques and working knowledge of MS Projects and/or Primavera P6

  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects and balance competing demands from multiple stakeholders

  • Proven ability to integrate into a project team and take direction directly from Project Managers

  • Expertise in MS Office with a strong focus on Excel and Access

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a Design Consulting organization considered an​ advantage

  • Knowledge of VBA considered an asset

  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint considered an asset

  • Experience working within an ORACLE Projects environment considered an asset
