Formulates technically defendable, independent decisions on engineering issues and represents organization in meetings with other company organizations and/or with the client and other stakeholders.Monitors ongoing operations and activities including safety, quality, cost, schedule and performance and coordinates efforts for issue identification and develops corrective action. Defines areas of potential improvement.Manages available resources to support resolution of identified issues in a timely manner.Complete understanding and application of technical principles, theories and concepts. Performs technical assignments of moderate scope. Coordinates technical activities in area of expertise.Comply with WRPS policies and proceduresEnsure ISMS Principles are incorporated into organization's activities* Develop Means and Confidence Interval Tables from analytical data using the Restricted Maximum Likelihood method.* Perform statistical designs to support Sample Analysis Plans and Data Quality Objectives.* Perform statistical designs to support laboratory test plans.* Perform regression analysis to engineering modeling.* Design experiments and sampling plans.* Perform statistical analysis to support safety evaluations, environmental permitting, and other regulatory activities.* Develop and check engineering spreadsheets.* Develop methodology for improvements to relative standard deviation, means and confidence intervals, AutoStat means program, and multiplier uncertainty in Tank Waste Information Network System.* Support statistical analysis as assigned for the Tank Farm Contract.Daily communications with process engineers regarding technical scope. Weekly communication with Laboratory personnel regarding quality and type of analyses. Infrequent communication with regulators and clients regarding scope of characterization reports.Communications with other process engineers, Engineering, Environmental, and laboratory staff are essential to execute work. Effective communication in both verbal and written formats. Must be comfortable with preparing detailed written reports. Ability to prepare slide presentations and deliver a message a varied professional audience can comprehend. Identify and understand issues and opportunities including drawing conclusions based on various sources of data; selection of action consistent with facts, constraints, and consequences.Establish a course of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently.
BA/BS degree in Statistics or closely related discipline. Degree in mathematics or closely related field will be considered. A minimum of 8 years of routine statistics application is required.
