Job Responsibilities/Duties

Sample Management Office (SMO) personnel are responsible for customer communication and high-level project planning (e.g., scope, schedule, budget, prioritizing, etc.) SMO personnel also obtain concurrence from the laboratory personnel for meeting Analytical Work Instructions and project deliverables, and perform data review. Project Coordinator roles include managing projects in compliance with OSHA standards, 10 CFR 835 requirements, the 222-S Documented Safety Analysis (DSA), and the Washington State Administrative Code for managing all hazardous waste associated with analytical projects.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or related Science discipline. A minimum of 10 years job related experience including laboratory work is required. Demonstrated scientific communication skills are required. Knowledge of laboratory operations and quality assurance practices associated with laboratory operations is required. Demonstrated ability to apply quality control standards from a Quality Assurance plan is required.

Desired Qualifications

Radiological laboratory work experience is preferred.
