Working independently, performs program implementation and strategic planning using a graded approach. Directs the preparation and maintenance of safety & health programs, standards, procedures and policies to support the safe and healthy work environment at the Tank Operations Contract. Serves as the central point of contact for multiple IH programs, assists with IH professional employee development, and advises the IH Program Manager and Safety & Health Manager on strategic program alignment and implementation efforts relating to DOE standards, OSHA, NIOSH, AIHA, and other industry best practices. Contributes to development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization.Comply with WRPS policies and proceduresEnsure ISMS Principles are incorporated into organization's activities
BS Degree in Industrial Hygiene or a related scientific field such as Chemistry, Physics, Public Health and/or Biology plus 10 years of experience in Industrial Hygiene, Safety or an engineering or scientific discipline.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate project milestones. Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate to peers and management.Must take prompt action to accomplish assigned objectives and understand/identify issues and opportunities. Advanced degree is preferred. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.
