Job Responsibilities/Duties

Comply with WRPS policies and proceduresEnsure ISMS Principles are incorporated into organizations activities.Accountable for safety based on the principals of no injuries to anyoneSet challenging goals for personal and group accomplishmentsSet high standards of performance for self and othersDevelop and sustain productive customer relationshipsMaintain cognizance of any changes to assigned instrumentation systems and componentsInput to/develop and approve work packages and ECNsReview and approve new or changes to operating or maintenance proceduresReview preventive maintenance, surveillances, and establish post maintenance testing requirementsPerform operability evaluations, USQs, etc. in support of daily activitiesMaintain knowledge of system design descriptions, system health reports, and system notebooksPrepare Bills of Material and Material RequestsPerform Lock and Tag ReviewsPerform process and control system modification to include control system hardware and software development and testing.Perform instrument and control system design activities including safety related design activities associated with HAZOPs and safety system design.Perform routine administrative activities/duties on time (routine training, safety meetings, TIS, continuing training, staff meetings)

Required Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering degree; plus minimum of 8 years experience in nuclear or regulated application with emphasis on Instrument and Process Control/Automation.

Desired Qualifications

Must be familiar with nuclear or regulated applications with emphasis on instruments and controls (I&C).Must be knowledgeable of current development and trends in I&C and be able to interpret IEEE Standards, NFPA Requirements. Must be familiar with process and control system platforms including modification to the control system hardware and software, communications systems (including wireless), and development and testing systems. Required significant control systems testing experience, including preparation of test procedures and completion of test reports.Working knowledge of developing safety instrumented systems and application of ANSI/ISA-84 desirable.Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC and/or ABB 800xA control system platform desirable. Working knowledge of software development in any of these: C#, .NET, C++, JavaScript, Microsoft MVC, SQL, etc. is desirable.
