Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to draft, manage and execute a Fire & Life Safety Master Plan for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Statewide Prison System. The master plan will include the establishment of a standard performance specification for the installation or renovation of Fire Alarm systems at new and existing institutions. The Project Manager will supervise the evaluation of existing facilities, write task order scopes and manage engineering and design services. They will also be required to manage construction and implementation of the new fire and life safety systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing planning tools and framework to obtain approval from main stakeholders

  • Convey and negotiate Master Production schedules and budgets with stakeholders to assure schedule achievability. Prioritize critical path items and assist with phasing and implementation.

  • Establish planning calendar to assure standard updates to Master Production Schedule

  • Develop, execute and maintain tools as well as techniques required to evaluate impact of proposed schedule changes

  • Coordinate meetings between the stakeholders at CDCR, the PM and the A/E

  • Supervise and report actual results against Master Production Schedule

  • Ensure conformance with all CDCR requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Technical background in Fire Alarm wired, wireless and suppression technology and design

  • Strong organizational and technical writing skills

  • Well spoken and proficient in client management
