Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Senior Manager for immediate employment in the Raleigh, NC office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, successful and growing North Caroling transportation group encompassing all disciplines of transportation including roadway and highway design, ITS, rail, traffic, safety, CEI Construction Services.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • NCDOT Division projects

  • Traffic control

  • Project and program management

  • QA/QC of conceptual and detailed design of roadway, signing and pavement markings or other areas

  • Review and provide quality control and quality assurance for roadway plans

  • perform business development with NCDOT (Central and Divisions) for the Transportation group

  • Mentor and review the work done by the junior and mid-level engineers

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • 13+ years of experience in civil engineering (roadway design, signing, pavement marking, and or other areas)

  • NC PE or ability to obtain through reciprocity in 3 months required

  • North Carolina NCDOT experience required

  • Thorough understanding of NCDOT guidelines,procedures and plan preparation

  • Ability to scope and estimate complex projects

  • Track and manage task budgets and schedules

  • Supervise entry-level junior engineers and designers

  • Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction

  • Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role

  • Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for roadway design project management, program management, signing and pavement marking plans

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 20+ years of experience in civil engineering (roadway design, signing, pavement marking, and or other areas)
