Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer:
Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
Assisting traffic engineers and project managers on projects related to traffic capacity analysis, feasibility studies, traffic modeling, signal design, signal timing, signal systems, ITS, traffic operations, safety analysis, traffic impact analyses, traffic calming, railroad corridor safety studies, and other related traffic engineering work
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
Demonstrated ability to build trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Demonstrate communication skills requiring client interaction
Ability to work with various multi-disciplined project teams
Good communication, organizational and analytical skills are required
Must be familiar with traffic engineering software like Synchro, HCS, and SIDRA
Must be familiar with Microstation and or AutoCAD
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Master's degree in Civil Engineering
2+ years of experience in traffic engineering projects
