Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and talented Construction Management Engineer for immediate employment in the Raleigh area. This is an exceptional opportunity to grow our existing transportation CM and CEI practices in AECOM’s Mid-Southeast Area (Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina). This practice has an excellent reputation in our existing transportation markets and provides a solid foundation for future growth across the Mid-Southeast with both public and private clients. The appropriately qualified applicant must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of transportation CM and CEI construction services and a track record of successful project delivery and client relationships. This person will complement NC’s growing construction management in municipal greenway and pavement resurfacing projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of CM and CEI staff in existing markets

  • Implementation of CM/CEI best practices across the area

  • Working with management with the development of CM and CEI business growth strategy

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with clients working in tandem with other AECOM groups developing and targeting business growth opportunities

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field

  • 15+ years of professional experience in the transportation industry

  • North Carolina NCDOT CE&I /Construction management experience required

  • Ability to scope / estimate complex CE&I projects

  • Track and manage task budgets and schedules

  • Supervise entry-level engineers, CE&I staff and designers

  • Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction

  • Ability to lead CE&I teams is essential to this role

  • Experience leading transportation based construction management and construction engineering & inspection projects and programs

  • Client relationship development

  • Successful project delivery track record

  • MicroStation/MS Project/Primavera experience

  • NC PE or ability to obtain through reciprocity in 3 months required

  • NCDOT-Resident/Assistant Resident Engineer/Construction Engineer

  • Practice Leader for CE&I practice at other firms in NC

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 20+ years' experience in Construction Management

  • Areas of experience include: project management, construction management and CE&I, thorough knowledge of NCDOT’s CE&I programs/projects
