Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Hydrogeology, Geoscience and Geophysics Technical Leader for immediate employment in the Providence, RI office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical leadership for hydrogeology, geosciences and geophysical aspects of projects and proposals

  • May serve as lead professional in geosciences for mid to large size projects or programs

  • As an individual researcher or contributor, carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures, applying advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices related to geosciences

  • Mentoring junior staff

  • Managing select projects

  • Client interaction

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geophysic

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering (or comparable related field)

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Experience in environmental consulting

  • Demonstrated experience with the successful application of geophysical techniques in the assessment and remediation of hazardous waste sites contaminated with chlorinated solvents

  • Bioremediation planning and execution

  • Brownfields remediation project management experience

  • Experience with Remediation in Connecticut

  • Excellent communication skills

  • US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bioremediation planning and execution in wetland environment
