About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for a creative, highly talented Senior Technical Advisor for immediate employment in the Portland, Oregon office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting and challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:
Provide strategic leadership in the marking clients in the hydropower arena covering federal agencies, investor owned electric utilities, municipal electrical utilities and independent power producers
Provide technical oversight, mentorship and leadership on ongoing projects
Work with multi-disciplinary teams and sell the broad range of services provided by AECOM
Communicate, negotiate and develop service offerings that align with required market changes
Engage in resource planning and project development
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
13+ years of experience in hydropower related projects such as powerhouse rehabilitation, power plant designs, and water supply/storage reallocation studies
Keen understanding of the hydropower market, growth trends and areas of focus for strategic investments
Ability to support BD activities by interacting with existing and future clients in Hydropower market
Possess the ability to manage a project scope within an assigned budget
Ability to work independently with clients and manage project assignments
Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal skills
Ability to make decisions independently
