Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Marketing Intern for immediate employment in the Portland, OR office.

Under direct supervision of the Marketing Manager, assist with support duties including but not limited to:

  • Creating and updating of marketing material including sales sheets, brochures, project descriptions, news letters

  • Creating and updating of graphics, including organization charts, maps, flow charts, infographics, and matrices

  • Coordinate with members of marketing/proposal teams, both externally and internally, to request and collect capabilities data, resumes, project descriptions, or other narratives to respond to proposals and other projects

  • Copy editing content such as executive summaries, resumes, project descriptions, and other narratives

  • Assists with final layout in Microsoft Word, or other programs, as well as production of hard copies as required

  • Proactively conduct quality assurance/quality control on marketing materials through strong grammatical skills and attention to consistency and detail

  • Using strong organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple tasks with differing deadlines and consistently produce a professional document

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong grammatical skills, attention to detail, highly organized

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and spoken communication

  • Ability to take initiative to learn the standard marketing and proposal practices and techniques of the A/E/C industry

  • Ability to engage and work with various levels of staff and work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and in collaborative team settings

  • Possess strong computer skills, with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • Demonstrable social networking or social media experience

  • Understanding of marketing utilizing social media

Preferred Qualifications

  • Adobe Suite (InDesign a plus, but not required)

  • A university student that has more than one year of school remaining before earning a degree preferred, these students typically are Freshmen, Sophomores, or Juniors in university. Successful Interns may be eligible to return for additional internships.
