Job Summary

AECOM's is recruiting for a Senior/ Principal Project Manager who will manage/deliver an existing portfolio of projects within the Plymouth and Exeter Structures Team including working on the future docking facilities project in Plymouth's Dockyard.

An experienced Project Manager (with Construction and Design Management experience) to join the established Project Management team in the Plymouth Office.

The successful candidate will be expected to take a lead role on construction and design management for MOD and Defence-related projects, managing design teams, construction teams, project strategy and project delivery.

Projects will generally be within the South West Region but some will be located outside the South West region requiring occasional travel to meetings and construction sites.

The post will also involve leading multi-disciplinary engineering, potentially drawing on resources in other UK Offices.

Experience of Defence projects and work on nuclear licensed sites is desirable.-

Sound knowledge of construction contracts and commercial awareness

Knowledge of CDM regulations and duties

Desirable: Full, clean driving licence

Minimum Requirements

  • Programme management skills

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

  • Thorough understanding of buildability issues

  • Able to work on a number of projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in an appropriate Civil or Structural engineering discipline

  • Bachelors degree (min. 2:1) in an appropriate Project Management, Civil or Structural engineering discipline

  • Chartered Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers
