Job Summary

The AECOM Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) Group is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office.

In addition to the primary equipment operation duties, the selected individual will also be expected to perform other duties such as the installation of soil erosion controls, demolition activities, handling of pumps & hoses, etc and perform general maintenance of company equipment. All workers must understand and follow project-specific safety protocols in accordance with company policies & procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED;

  • Valid driver’s license;

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the operation of heavy equipment such as tracked excavators, bulldozers, loaders, off-road dump trucks and/or skid steer loaders on environmental remediation / construction projects;

  • Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and be able to work in protective clothing, including a respirator;

  • Assignments may include work on out-of-town projects that may require the individual to travel for extended periods (up to 3 weeks) to a project site;

  • All workers must understand and follow project-specific safety protocols in accordance with company policies & procedures;

  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 40-Hour Training is required but not mandatory. The company will provide training if necessary.

Additional information:

  • This position is not eligible for relocation benefits.

  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
