Job Summary

The Construction Management / Inspection Division of AECOM is actively seeking multiple highly talented bridge and highway Construction Managers for immediate employment in our Philadelphia, Harrisburg/Williamsport, and Pittsburgh, PA offices for positions located throughout Pennsylvania. The successful candidates will be Construction Managers/Inspectors on the AECOM project team for PennDOT's Rapid Bridge Replacement P3 project. The Project Replaces approximately 560 geographically dispersed structurally deficient, bridges across the Commonwealth in less than 4 years.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Administer the construction contract

  • Resolve construction issues in the field

  • Conduct field meetings with client and general contractor in the field, as required

  • Work directly with the client and contractor to meet the needs of the project

  • Manage multiple single and double span bridge replacements over a large geographical area

  • Communicate with the project team and Client throughout the project

  • Oversee the Quality Assurance and Control on a project

  • Present job progress and issues in meetings with the client

  • Prepare daily reports for each individual bridge projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • NICET IV or greater required

  • 8+ years of bridge and heavy highway construction experience, including 5+ years on Transportation, Bridge or Highway construction projects

  • Experience working with public agencies (DOT / Turnpike Authorities, etc.)

  • Capable of managing small to medium size projects/contracts ($1 - $20million)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects over a large area on a mega statewide project

  • Thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures

  • Thorough knowledge of engineering disciplines, construction technologies and job site management

  • Experienced with project management software (ECMS, E-Builder, CapEx, Constructware, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management preferred

  • 10+ years of bridge and heavy highway construction with NICET IV or PE

  • Experience working with public agencies (PennDOT / PA Turnpike preferred)

  • Must be able to travel statewide throughout Pennsylvania
