Job Summary

The Power and Industrial Business Line is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Construction Manager - Power and Industrial for immediate employment in the Pittsburgh Office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in, but not limited to, Construction Management and management of projects, with a general understanding of mechanical/electrical building components. Incumbent will oversee and be responsible for onsite activities, contractors and will continuously interface with facility and client personnel.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing administration of project(s) during the construction cycle, including technical, financial, and client engagement/satisfaction

  • Being responsible for coordinating with the engineering disciplines and being accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the planning, design and/or construction activities in the field

  • Providing overall management activities and overseeing personnel under his/her direction on a day-to-day basis

  • Developing procedures for monitoring the progression of planning, design and construction phases

  • Preparing reports for company and client management, documenting project scope, schedule, and budget progress

  • Overseeing contractors to ensure compliance with project plan and specifications, monitor quality of work, craftsmanship, and materials used on-site

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Engineering Bachelor Degree preferred

  • 8+ years of experience in construction management or management of direct reports

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Primavera

  • Professional Engineer License

  • Project Management Institute Certification

  • OSHA Certification (10 and/or 30 Hour)
