AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented ITS Engineer for immediate employment for the Phoenix, AZ office. AECOM's network of talented professionals supports public and private transportation clients across the State of Arizona and the Rocky Mountain Region. We build on our extensive knowledge to plan, design, and manage transportation systems, and restore or replace aging systems and facilities.
Assist in design and delivery of transit, highway and arterial transportation design or consulting services
Assist in traffic design, ITS design, lighting analysis/design
Traffic signal timing development and signal optimization
Developing plans, specifications and estimates as well as writing technical reports
Working and contributing with multidisciplinary teams
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
5+ years' experience
Knowledge/Experience: ITS Design; Traffic Signal Systems; Lighting Design; Simulation modeling for transit (Synchro; VISSIM); Computer Aided Design (CAD)
Technical Skills: Microstation, AutoCAD, Microsoft Suite
Certificates : Arizona PE required or ability to get AZ PE certification within 6 months of hire
Valid driver's license required.
Knowledge of controller platforms such as ASC/3, D4, NextPhase preferred
Experience with design of transit projects preferred
Experience with development of ITS planning and architecture development
Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
