Provide regional and corporate executives with costs, analysis, trends, forecasts, and reports in order to run a profitable region, make solid business decisions on new and existing business, and provide corporate Cost and Finance with needed data.
Supervise Project Accountants and their cost reporting functions
Ensure compliance with Owner contract financial / accounting requirements
Ensure compliance with Corporate policies and procedures
Oversee Requisition process, ensure timeliness and completeness of billings
Prepare Monthly Regional Billing Summary Deliverable
Prepare Monthly Regional Work-In-Place Deliverable including current month accrual, projections of out month Work-In-Place, Current project EACs
Prepare and track Regional SG&A budgets
Provide analysis of all regional data, keeping organization informed of trends
Provide analysis of project costs on a strategic level to executives
Oversight and review of all regional fee structures to assure organization keeps a good balance of risk/profitability
Review of Capital Project budgets, regional P&L’s, and Fixed Asset budgets as they pertain to Regional Cost Controls functional areas
Provide all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on time and with accuracy.
Interact with any regional Project teams as needed in order to solve any regional discrepancies.
Bachelor’s Degree (Masters desirable) in Accounting, Finance or Business, with an understanding of GAAP.
A minimum of 15 years in the Construction/Architectural, Developer industry as a Project Accountant, with progressive experience with larger and more complex projects.
A minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
Must possess strong financial systems skills (have worked with a variety of Financial reporting software in order to adapt to new systems and processes quickly)
Able to put structure and procedural details in place for new Projects, train staff, and implement new procedures as needed.
Must possess strong communications skills and managerial skills in order to interact with top executives throughout the organization. Able to collaborate across business lines effectively. Able to do presentations to corporate executives and clients as needed, answer questions on deliverables and make recommendations for solutions
