About the Business Line

Water

We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Green Infrastructure & Water Resources Engineer to join our Water group in the Philadelphia, PA office. The selected individual will become an integral part of the design team and will work on exciting projects such as Green Infrastructure.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids

  • Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within Autodesk Civil 3D

  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

  • Present design solutions to AECOM project teams and clients

  • Prepare preliminary and final designs of Green Stormwater Infrastructure, stormwater management, drainage, E&S control

  • Develop H&H modeling, permit applications and Water Resources studies

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline with emphasis on Water Resources required

  • 2+ years of experience in water resources design work

  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software

  • Previous experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Philadelphia Water Department green infrastructure program

  • Previous experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (EPA/XP/PC SWMM; HEC HMS/RAS; HydroCAD; Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis) and stormwater permitting

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE)
