Job Summary

The initial focus of this role will be supporting an existing workload of high profile urban infrastructure projects in Perth, ranging from major transport upgrades to urban renewals. However, the role offers a significant opportunity to establish yourself within a diverse and growing team of water resources professionals, and to ultimately broaden your experience across the wider water resources sector.

• Assessment and design of new and existing urban drainage systems

• Development and interpretation of flood models

• Reporting

We anticipate that the role best suits a level of industry experience in the range 3 to 5 years, but engineers with up to 10 years’ experience are encouraged to apply as a more senior role could also be created to suit the right mix of skills and experience.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Civil/Environment Engineering

• Experience in drainage design, waterways and flooding assessments

• Consulting engineering or a similar local/state government role

• Experience in highways, rail and bridge design projects

• Experience using other hydrologic and/or hydraulic modelling software (eg WBNM, RAFTS, HEC-RAS, XPSTORM, TUFLOW)

• GIS (Maplnfo or ArcGIS) and/or CAD software

• Exposure to broader water resources projects
