AECOM is seeking a Program Manager to be based in Peoria, IL. This position will support our global organization of mostly hourly employees providing services to a client who has numerous manufacturing and logistics facilities located domestically and abroad, and will require 40-80% travel throughout continental United States.
This position is responsible for the overall operation of the project/contract including ensuring the safety and well-being of its employees, safeguarding company funds and property, and representing the company with respect to the client. The Program Manager oversees a workforce of operation/project managers and support staff who in turn direct a workforce of technicians and professionals engaged in a variety of activities in the management of various types of facilities. This position ensures that established company goals are realized while maintaining client relations that will enhance future business, and has total responsibility for managing all aspects of the contract.
Manages 24x7 operations and maintenance function to include such facilities as research campuses, office complexes, industrial plants, etc.
Maintains 24x7 operations of all critical building support systems (HVAC, Electrical, Lab support, etc)
Provides 24x7 up time to onsite computer server facility, UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) systems and emergency/critical generators
Develops, plans, and implements annual shutdown program for preventive maintenance activities
Manages multiple subcontractors supporting the operations and maintenance functions
Develops budgets and manages expenditures
Manages all aspects of the contract with the client
Shows strong technical background and understanding of:
Critical nature of the client’s work environment including the particulars of facilities such as research campuses, office complexes, industrial plants, etc.
Technical writing with an understanding of the value of procedures.
Technical knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to prioritize, assign, track and trend equipment history.
Manages contracts, contractors, suppliers and other service providers.
Manages workflow through the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Writes and modifies maintenance work orders to improve equipment performance
Provides maintenance planning and scheduling
Possesses knowledge of reliability maintenance
Good customer relations and a client partnering mentality:
Maintains daily communication with the client, ensuring “no surprises.” Relationship with client must be maintained at the highest level at all times.

Ensures establishment of comprehensive site ES&H and Crisis Management Plans.
Ensures that the Plans are aggressively monitored and requirements are enforced.
Actively participates in execution of the plans, including emphasizing the plan in new hire orientation.
Establishes and monitors comprehensive lock out /tag out procedures.
Maintains appropriate Job Hazard Analysis for all work and develops JHA’s as appropriate for new or altered work.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience in industrial facility maintenance.
In addition to education requirements, entrants to this position require 8 years of industrial operations / maintenance experience , including 5 years with supervisory responsibilities in a technical field.
Progressive career experience in facility or production maintenance management.
Working knowledge of purchasing and/or utilizing and managing subcontracts or vendors.
Staff management experience, including disciplinary action, hiring, terminating, and performance appraisals.
Must be willing to relocate.
Must be willing to travel 40-80% throughout continental United States.

Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout diverse work environments as required by business demand.
Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movements.
Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.
Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
Reliability Program or Predictive maintenance experience, including areas such as infrared (IR) scanning, ultrasonic, vibration and oil analysis, testing, life cycle studies, incident reports, root cause analysis and/or additional data gathering programs.
Vibration Analysis Training and Certification.
Experience utilizing a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Power Point and Visio.
Certification or formal training from Facility Maintenance Organizations such as IFMA, AFE or BOMA.
Experience developing and managing a budget.
Consistent demonstration of the ability to proactively identify potential problems or opportunities, analyze issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the optimum approach to mitigate problems or leverage opportunities.
Experience in contract negotiation.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word.
