About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Junior Consultant – Environmental Health and Safety for immediate employment in the Ottawa, Ontario office. Candidate will join an Ontario wide dynamic Environmental Health and Safety team, which consists of occupational and industrial hygienists, safety professionals, professional engineers, auditors, hazardous materials managers, based in Ottawa. As a key member of the team, you will develop your skills by working closely with management and all business units.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Working on projects involving mold abatement, occupational hygiene, hazardous materials management and safety
Identifying and rectifying site issues and project concerns
Conducting hazardous materials surveys
Conducting hygiene monitoring of noise, chemicals, and radiation
Conducting indoor air quality monitoring
Conducting ventilation assessments
Preparing and calibrating sampling equipment for field use
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of industrial hygiene / environmental health and safety regulations in Ontario.-and asbestos-related issues
Must have a passion for being part of an integrated team reaching for success by building new relationships and producing quality work
Must possess a reliable means of transportation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly with clients, and execute and deliver the highest quality service
Possess willingness to travel
- Associates degree or equivalent in the field of industrial hygiene and or environmental health and safety
