Job Summary

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance Specialist to join our Oshkosh, Wisconsin or Green Bay, Wisconsin AECOM office team. This full-time position will involve providing support for performing facility compliance and management systems audits at client locations; assisting clients with the implementation of environmental, health & safety, and energy management systems; providing regulatory compliance assistance to clients.

The successful candidate may also will assist in supporting Due Diligence/Phase I assessments and, SPCC plan and SWPP preparation; and property M&A transaction projects; ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 gap assessments and will perform task management as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Comply, manage, and drive health and safety requirements for a facility.

  • EHS auditing (environmental media, OSHA compliance, DOT compliance), and compliance

  • EHS management system implementation and training

  • EHS information management system implementation support

  • Compiling, evaluating, analyzing, and presenting engineering calculations and evaluations

  • Preparation of work plans, reports, and other technical documents

  • Coordination and oversight of subcontractors

  • Coordinate and work on specialized environmental projects and environmental site assessments (Phase I, II and III ESAs), environmental compliance and monitoring programs, and regulatory approval compliance for industrial and landfill facilities

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or Environmental is required

  • 5+ years of safety or environmental consulting experience specifically dealing with a wide variety of environmental/safety compliance program areas, including but not limited to: Health and safety, air compliance; chemical and waste management; SPCC Plans; NPDES industrial SWPPPs; and facility EHS compliance auditing

  • Excellent English written and verbal communications skills

  • Proven ability to establish excellent relationships with clients

  • Proven ability to effectively interact with regulatory agencies

  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and to prioritize and balance heavy workloads

  • Ability and desire to travel throughout the U.S. for project activities

  • US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience to support marketing and help sell project work is a plus

  • EPA and OSHA ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 experience

  • Experience with Environmental Data Management Software Tools, including EQuIS Data Processor (EDP), ArcGIS and EQuIS Data Gathering Engine (EDGE)

  • CPEA
