Job Summary

The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated professional to join the travel demand modeling team in Florida. The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in travel demand modeling with a focus on model development, validation and application.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Participates as part of the team in the development of travel demand models in Florida

  • Client interaction for on-going and potential projects

  • Participate in FDOT’s user group for modeling

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning or related field

  • 4+ years of progressively responsible experience

  • Travel demand model development and transportation planning experience

  • Ability to take increasing responsibility for task management

  • Desire to grow technical skills and innovations

  • Excellent oral/written communications skills

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Planning

  • Ability to be registered as a PE in Florida (if holds engineering degree) or ability to be AICP (if holds planning degree)

  • Experience with FDOT travel demand modeling software

  • Professional experience with ARCVIEW, MS EXCEL, MS ACCESS and SPSS or SAS

  • Demonstrated ability to develop Cube scripts and/or TransCAD GISDK applications

  • Extensive knowledge of travel demand models and model development for both highways and transit

  • Experience in travel survey design, processing, and analysis
