Job Summary

AECOM/CFX is seeking a Full Time Toll Service Section Manager (TSSM) to be based at Conway East and West Toll Plazas.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:

The Toll Service Section Manager (TSSM) is responsible for the overall daily management of the toll operations at large to multiple plazas and associated ramps; direct supervision of the Toll Service Supervisors (TSS's); and indirect supervision of the Toll Service Attendants (TSA's) and Custodians. The TSSM ensures that all work is in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and company policies and procedures. This includes overseeing all staffing, scheduling, collections, customer service, lane equipment monitoring, safeguarding of funds, and janitorial service.

  • Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with company safety and security policies and procedures. Assists in the coordination and response to any site emergencies or incidents by interfacing with client management, plaza management, and office management as required.

  • The TSSM is responsible for the overall daily management of the toll operations at large to multiple plazas and associated ramps; direct supervision of the Toll Service Supervisors (TSS's); and indirect supervision of the Toll Service Attendants (TSA's) and Custodians.

  • The TSSM ensures that all work is in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and company policies and procedures. This includes overseeing all staffing, scheduling, collections, customer service, lane equipment monitoring, safeguarding of funds, and janitorial service. The duties listed below cover the principle duties of the position and are not meant to be all-inclusive. The TSSM is expected to perform other duties as assigned.

  • Manages, plans, directs and coordinates all work required for the Plaza Management functions. Directs and delegates work to TSS's and TSA's as required.

  • Oversees E-Pass In Lane Tag Sales and Inventory.

  • Ensures that staffing levels are adequate to meet the shift and lane availability schedule requirements on a 24 hours and 7 days per week basis. Ensures that this is done in the most efficient manner possible.

  • Ensures that costs for personnel and supplies are performed within project budget objectives.

  • Reviews work for accuracy, consistency and compliance (with SOP’s).

  • Monitors and reviews the revenue collection, deposit, and reconciliation process working in close coordination with the Manager of Operations and Audit department.

  • Assists the Manager of Operations and Audit department with the process of investigation for excessive variances, incidents of suspected fraud or theft, or other unusual occurrences as required. Works with the management team and the client to implement any required corrective actions.

  • Assists the Quality Manager/Assistant Project Director with investigating and responding to customer comments, concerns and complaints as required.

  • Required to temporarily assist or work at another plaza based on business needs or requirements.

  • Completes performance reviews for all personnel and makes recommendations for salary increases and any project incentive programs. Works closely with the Human Resources Generalist and the Manager of Operations to counsels staff on any performance issues and required performance improvement objectives.

  • Mentors, coaches, and develops staff for career growth.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education equivalency (GED) required.

Experience:

  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license, available personal vehicle, and current vehicle insurance.

  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to regularly push/pull equipment that may weigh up to 250 lbs using the proper device.

  • Ability to stand and climb stairs repeatedly during an 8-hour shift.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills including, but not limited to, Outlook, Word and Excel are preferred.

  • Prior experience as a Toll Service Plaza Manager preferred

  • One or more years Toll Service Manager experience on the Central Expressway Authority’s (CFX)system is preferred
