The Buildings and Places Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented and motivated Structural Drafter/Designer for immediate employment in the Orlando, Florida office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in structural drafting, specific to vertical building design and construction, with both AutoCAD and Revit software. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with a wide variety of exciting and challenging projects. The position offers a unique opportunity to integrate fully with other disciplines and work on interdisciplinary projects within the firm.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Develop models in Revit
Coordination of Revit models and other drafting with other disciplines
Layout Drawing, elevation and detail sheets
Under limited supervision prepare drawings from general instruction, preliminary sketches and drawings by structural engineers
Under limited supervision provide drafting services by preparing and maintaining models and structural drawings of small to complex design and layouts
High school diploma
3+ years of related experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Experience utilizing AutoCAD for plan production and structural detailing experience
Revit document production experience and skills required
Valid driver's license
Associate's degree and completion of technical trade school courses, or equivalent drafting and design experience
Knowledge of/in multiple application platforms and complex systems, including AutoCAD, Revit Structure, Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office Suite
Basic understanding of principles associated with architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines
