Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

The Orange office is searching for a Senior Project Manager/Geologist to add to the team. The successful candidate will lead investigations on large, complex sites and will participate in strategy and planning to conduct/complete: LNAPL optimization; decision tree development; and preparation of feasibility studies and remedial action plans.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in regular client and Agency meetings and teleconferences and should be highly skilled in technical presentations and advocacy discussions

  • Provide technical oversight of geological investigations

  • Manage multi-disciplinary resources for groundwater basin studies

  • Develop technical approaches for hydrogeologic/hydrologic characterization of groundwater and/or surface water systems

  • Provide support for geolgical projects by planning and conducting projects interpreting the results and clearly communicating the findings

  • Contribute effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists

  • Develop and deliver professional presentations to client or agency representatives

  • Interact with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within AECOM

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Hydrogeology

  • California Professional Registration

  • 8+ years experience in geological investigations, hydrogeologic applications, well installations, groundwater modeling, and project management

  • Proficient in project management, including budget management and tracking

  • Good written and communication skills

  • Familiar with the geology/hydrogeology of the southern California area, groundwater modeling and DNAPL/LNAPL investigations

  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
