Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Engineer for immediate employment for the Orange, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Prepare plans and details for highway and civil projects

  • Prepare calculations, technical protocols, and engineering reports

  • Use Microstation and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D CAD to design alignments, terrain models, and other design features of projects

  • Coordinate work of assigned design team

  • Coordinate with third-party representatives and actively participate in project status meetings

  • Convey direction and mentor to junior team members

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

  • 10+ years' experience

  • PE License

  • Thorough knowledge of transportation project development

  • Experience in preparing deliverables required in each phase of the development process

  • Sound judgement and detail oriented

  • Comfortable in a team environment

  • Strong fundamental design knowledge and abilities

  • Expertise in Caltrans and other agency design standards and practices including geometric design, grading, drainage, wall design and layout, details, and specifications

  • Thorough CAD experience particularly with Microstation and Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree
