Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking a Personnel Assistant to provide direct support to a government customer on-site at Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in Norfolk, Virginia. 

Essential Responsibilities include:

  1. Assist with maintaining training programs.

  2. Provide organizational management with the development and /or delivery of training programs, literature and structure.

  3. Complete assigned reporting functions involving attendance statistics, certifications, industry benchmarks.

  4. Provide recommendations regarding the development and administration of existing and new programs.

  5. Assist with the dissemination of information and data as needed. Perform general office support functions and assist area personnel as necessary.

  6. Upon receiving general topical guidance on a course, independently develop the total course content, including direction and focus, general and specific course objectives which are relevant to the needs of the military audience.

  7. Responsible for not only developing and presenting course material, but also for coordinating/monitoring civilian/military training programs and monitoring the military personnel in MARMC Code 1140.

  8. Responsible for presenting original courses to MARMC personnel.

  9. Counsel MARMC personnel on various subjects such as required training or meeting pre-requisites for schools applied for.

  10. Performance of other customer and corporate requirements as assigned is required.

  11. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in an academic or training office setting

  • Good communications (verbal and written), organizational and analytical skills required.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications/software.

  • Must be familiar with the following documents SECNAV M-5210.2 – SECNAV DON SSIC Manual; SECNAV M-5215.1 – SECNAV DON Directives Manual; SECNAV M-5216.5 – DON Correspondence Manual.

  • Position requires an active Secret Security Clearance, which requires US citizenship.
