Position Title Systems/Mission Engineer

This candidate will perform Mission Engineering tasks as the Tactics and Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting Tomahawk Weapon System engineering and design for NAVAIR. Additional responsibilities are as follows:
Manage deliverables (e.g., briefings, concept papers, Concepts of Employment (CONEMP)) within budget and schedule.
Mission oriented test design and planning across increasing levels of complexity: component, system, and integration-level test planning and execution.
Develop DODAF operational views and Use Cases to feed design and test teams for Tomahawk, OASuW, SSLWS, and Surface Warfare Improvement Program (SUWIP).
Support Fire Support planning and execution—TACAIR, TLAM, and UAV.
Develop innovative / non-traditional communications paths and procedures to address communications denial / degradation by potential adversaries.
Represent TWS as the on-site with USFF SME for TLAM employment, fires integration, and TTP development. Advisor to the USFF N3 TLAM Officer.
Provide support to U.S. Navy Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COMOPTEVFOR) for the scenario generation.
Coordinate Tomahawk Flight Test planning with the forward Fleet staffs and Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center (NSAWC).
A Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline; or eight (8) years of demonstrated subject matter expertise in the discipline of logistics functions and applications, including the qualifications below; or US Naval operational experience at the E7 level or higher.
In addition, ten (10) years professional or operational experience in developing logistics support requirements and applicable documentation for a major DOD weapon systems program that employs the use of GOTS and COTS products. This includes five (5) years of concurrent experience in logistics management concepts, policies, systems, and practices in order to provide extensive analysis of current and future logistics infrastructure. Ability to develop logistic support requirements, identify and establish linkage between functions and tasks common to multiple organizational missions. Professional or operational experience in developing logistics support requirements and applicable documentation. Six (6) years of concurrent experience, demonstrated for current Navy programs such as Tomahawk, in performing logistics management functions involving the development of training products, sparing allocation, and embedded help/training for a major weapon control system.
Must have TS Clearance and be eligible for SCI.
Up to 25% of travel is required.
TLAM missions. LAC, TSC, and Washington Planning Center experience is a huge plus.
