AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Gunner’s Mate experienced with the Mk 38 25mm Machine Gun System (MGS)for training and developing into a subject matter expert in support of Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Code 294.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations, perform equipment functional checks, perform troubleshooting/test/analysis and equipment repair to correctMk 38 25mm MGS, operation, maintenance, and connectivity faults.

  2. Assist Ship's Force technicians and government personnel at assigned locations to analyze and resolve malfunctions detected during equipment operation and test

  3. Analyze equipment review and inspection data to determine source of fault, and recommend repair, replacement or other corrective actions.

  4. Suggest equipment engineering changes toward improving quality and reliability and to facilitate installation, maintenance and repair.

  5. All other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Six years of general and Three years of specialized experience are required.

  • Three years experience in operating, performing corrective and preventive maintenance on theMk 38 25mm MGS.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge or successful completion of Class “C” school training on the Mk 38 25mm MGS.

  • Mk 38 25mm MGS, experience must be within the last 10 years with total of 6 years’ experience in the Gunner’s Mate rate.

  • Position requires the ability to work onboard US Navy ships, work in industrial repair facilities, and work in confined spaces.

  • Secret Security Clearance required, and the ability to possess a Common Access Card.

  • Resume should clearly state number of years’ experience and ship classes where experience was gained.
