AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a candidate with detailed knowledge of fleet modernization in support the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center.

  1. Perform equipment upgrades and modernization projects advance planning for systems/equipment installed on all classes of naval vessels

  2. Verify alteration maturity compliance; identify industrial support services required by the installing activity

  3. Obtain AIT production schedules used in the preparation of the CNO availability production schedule (input to master integrated schedule)

  4. Identify all AIT alterations planned for accomplishment during a CNO availability

  5. Utilize the Naval Data Environment (NDE) website and other applicable documentation to develop baseline spreadsheets for formal tracking of technical documents, support services, and schedule commitments.

  6. Collect and review AIT POA&Ms for compliance with NAVSEA TS 9090-310, and ensure they are integrated into the production schedule.

  7. Attend advanced planning meetings and teleconferences as directed, including post-avail Hot wash conference to discuss installation problems, lessons-learned and potential process improvements.

  8. Using NDE, track/monitor status of all alterations planned for the ship's CNO availability. Prepare updates prior to all advance planning meetings to ensure accurate information can be provided to the MT.

  9. Conduct turnover with the availability’s Alteration Coordination Engineer (ACE), including providing the AIT Logbook.

  10. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project-10

Minimum Requirements

  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least ten (10) years experience within the last 20 years in the operation, repair and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion machinery, electrical distribution or ordnance systems. A minimum of four (4) of the years should have been in a position of team leader or coordinator over a subordinate work force involved in the physical maintenance and repair of US Navy mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment and systems..

  • Must have specific work experience with Navy Modernization policies and procedures delineated in TS 9090-310 (latest rev) with regards to Lead Maintenance Activity’s (LMA) alteration pre-execution integration.

  • Knowedge and understanding of RMMCO Form processing (Check-In/Check-Out), NSA-AIT Technical Authority MOA, and Alteration Coordination Engineers (ACEs) functionality within a CNO-Availability.

  • Specific experience using Navy Data Environment (NDE) to navigate modernization applications/programs, i.e., NM, EP, ILS Module, and AMPs for alteration information validation.

  • Experience in VSB to generate JCNs/2Ks.

  • Experience with Maintenance Team (MT) Integrated Process Team Development (IPTD) conferences requirements and AIT-Planning integration within process development.

  • Have knowledge of Program Office and FLEET alterations, applicable Letters of Authorization, JFMM Milestones for Cost Plus and Fixed Firm Price Availabilities, and the structure and role of government oversight and planning of contracted ship availabilities for U.S. Navy surface ship modernization.

  • Position may require travel to fleet concentration areas.

  • Position requires a current Security Clearance; Ability to obtain a Common Access Card

  • (It is anticipated that if a candidate may not have detailed experience in all the minimum requirements, consideration will be given for related experience and understanding of the IPTD process)
