Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Hunter Industrial team. The person appointed will be responsible to work as part of a strong engineering team and will focus on electrical, instrumentation and control aspects of industrial, water and transport projects. The individual will contribute to business development and provide technical support to deliver quality project outcomes on time and on budget. The individual will be required to build collaborative relationships to support the Power and Industrial team for the many internal and external key stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Chartered Professional Engineer or working towards accreditation

  • 5+ years’ experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the mining, industrial or water industries

  • Experience in HV design and operations including generation, distribution, protection, metering and modelling is desirable

  • An appreciation of how to build upon the diverse needs of a professional engineering team

  • Practical approach to design and problem solving

  • Ability to develop client relationships and trust through good communication and quality deliverables

  • Excellent project management and time management skills

  • Experience in AutoCAD & electrical/lighting design software preferred
