Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

We have a unique opportunity for an Environmental Planner / Scientist to be a part of our Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP) team based in our Newcastle office.

Reporting into the IAP Team Leader, you will be part of a high performing and dynamic team responsible for delivering best practice environmental advisory services for all phases of our clients' infrastructure projects from planning to construction.

This position will provide exposure to a range of high profile projects including, major infrastructure assessments for transport (road/rail/ports/air), water utilities, energy, oil and gas, and property sectors. You will also work closely with private sector clients in a range of industries.

We are looking for an experienced environmental planning candidate who can prepare timely and high-quality inputs for the delivery of environmental impact assessments and constraints analyses to assist in the organisation of resources, budgets and timelines for the management of these projects.

You will be required to work collaboratively to prepare advice, reports and proposals to clients, and develop effective relationships with our clients, in-house design teams and technical specialists to ensure projects are delivered successfully. We have a unique opportunity for a professional or senior Environmental Planner to be a part of our Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP) Team based in our Newcastle office.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 to 7 years relevant environmental impact assessment experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of development process under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979

  • Sound understanding of the variety of technical inputs to an Environmental Impact Assessment

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Planning or Management, Science or Law
