Job Summary

The Design and Consulting Services Division of AECOM is actively seeking highly motivated Senior Surveyor for immediate employment in the Newark, DE office. The appropriately qualified applicant will perform survey management duties providing scope review/ generation and QA/QC of surveys performed by AECOM and its subcontractors. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The position will have the opportunity to work on projects including transportation, industrial, municipal and state agency clients throughout the region.This is a part-time position.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in scope generation of survey projects for transportation, environmental and water service lines

  • Negotiation of price and scope

  • Writing of technical proposals

  • Perform survey computations for QA/QC

  • Grow AECOM’s surveying practice related to railroads and ports

  • Provide support to AECOM’s multiple survey offices across the United States

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Professional Land Surveying license

  • Railroad surveying experience

  • Capable of functioning with spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well on teams

  • Knowledge of mathematics

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
