Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Office Engineer/Testing & Commissioning Coordinator for immediate employment in the New York, NY office.This position will report to the Director/Program Manager – ESA Operational Readiness.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain data structures associated with the official ESA OpR Database which includes all critical OpR planning documents and materials associated with the Rail Activation Plan

  • Review the Comprehensive Systems Test Plan (CSTP), Volumes 1 and 2 and assist with revising the Plan to accurately reflect the evolution of the Testing & Commissioning process within Construction Management (CM). This requires coordinating with General Engineering Contractor (GEC) and CM teams to verify compliance with the agreed upon tests and testing/commissioning documentation and verification standards

  • Assists with the audits of CM and the GEC to verify compliance

  • Support the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) operations and engineering staff in accessing and retrieving ESA records for use in start-up, pre-revenue and revenue operations. This position will be responsible for managing the ESA Data Warehouse, including authorizing access

  • Maintain full lateral communication with all verification partners through the ESA Verification Process. These partners include: Operational Readiness; LIRR ESA Operational Readiness/Special Projects; the ESA Test & Start-Up Group; MTACC Safety & Security; ESA GEC; ESA Construction Managers for Systems contracts; and the Rail Activation Plan (RAP) Task Groups

  • Plays the principal role in certifying key ESA Project elements once Verification has been successfully completed, and is responsible for complete documentation of both the verification and certification of those elements in the ESA Database and ESA Data Warehouse using the approved LIRR folder hierarchy

  • Assists with the management of all documentation associated with OpR ESA RAP Tasks & Activities. This includes assisting with the preparation of RAP meeting materials, minutes and follow-up actions related to OpR Tasks & Activities

  • Reports to the Director/Program Manager-ESA Operational Readiness (OpR) and performs critical management tasks

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience in Project Management and Project Support in an engineering/construction environment

  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to multi-tasks with competing priorities
