About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, disciplined, organized, talented Senior Scheduler for immediate employment in the New York City office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate sound understanding of Scheduling technique and the ability to apply this understanding to the development of various schedules at the program/projects levels using Primavera P6 software. This is part of the Program Controls Team and will report to the Program Controls Manager.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide cost and resource loading of the schedule for planning, design, construction, procurement and move-in. Review and monitor schedules of other entities including, designers, contractors, etc.
Evaluation of Contractor(s) Baseline Schedules, Monthly Updates and Time Impact Analyses (TIAs)
Produce contract variance reports with root cause and mitigation
Perform Schedule analysis and provide recommendations on the avoidance, minimization and mitigation of construction phase delays
Development, review and updating of the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related progress reports and narratives
Continually review recently completed project data and incorporate the data into the historical schedule database
Conducts and Participating either as an individual or as part of a team in presentations as required
Utilize historical schedule information and organize as required for application to the various types of project packages
Provide key performance indicators from P6 and Graphic representation of commodities and earned value
Assist the Department Manager of Project Controls in special tasks as necessary
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ years of complex resource and cost loaded scheduling experience
Proficiency in understanding, developing and resource and cost loaded Primavera P6 Schedules at Program level as well as individual projects
Must be able to demonstrate the ability in working across a broad community of designers, contractors, and stakeholders and helping in the development and monitoring of resource and cost loaded schedules for the program
Ability to interface with senior management to include scheduling progress and review
Proficient with the latest releases of Primavera P6 Scheduling software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
Possess a working knowledge in the use of Cost and Resource Loaded CPM Schedules
Ability to work as a member of a dynamic and fast moving team
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Understanding of EVMS technique
Ability to multitask and capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines
Strong background communications and reporting
Demonstrated leadership leading and managing teams in fast-paced situations
Work experience on capital projects
Ability to understand eBuilder and NYC DEP SOPs, policies, and protocols
Understanding and experience with program and mega-project schedules and schedule analysis
Financial understanding of unit price rate structures and pricing strategies
Understanding of claims and claims avoidance measures
