Job Summary

AECOM has an opening for a Senior Benefits Analyst to join the Total Rewards team in our downtown Los Angeles, California office or midtown New York City office.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with benefits outsourcing vendor to research and resolve issues related to employee benefit elections and payroll deductions

  • Support projects with benefits outsourcing vendor systems; includes system testing for implementations, open enrollment and special projects as assigned

  • Process and track monthly processing and reconciliation of employee contributions along with company premium payments

  • Provide funding schedules to Finance as well as resolve any issues with record-keeper, HRIS/Payroll, and Finance departments

  • Support U.S. Health and Wellness initiatives and plan administration

  • Support Health & Welfare Compliance administration to ensure benefit plans remain compliant with all regulations

  • Respond to employee inquiries about, health, welfare, life and various other benefit programs.

  • Act as company liaison with benefit vendors as assigned

  • Interact with all levels of employees, including senior management, in identifying and resolving benefit issues

  • Maintain benefits records and documents

  • Manage benefit projects or programs from beginning to end as assigned by direct manager or other team leads

  • Other project work as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience

  • 5+ years of Benefits experience, or Human Resource experience, with emphasis in Benefits

  • Experience with complex premium remittance to carriers/vendors

  • Strong proficiency utilizing Payroll/Benefit computer program systems

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Fun, positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in administration, compliance and regulatory aspects of Health, Dental, Life, Voluntary Benefits and Retirement plans

  • Excellent knowledge of COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, and HIPAA Bi-lingual a plus

  • CEBS coursework a plus

  • HRIS experience is preferred

  • ORACLE experience is preferred
