About the Business Line
We provide professional services in areas such as aviation, transit, freight rail, highways and bridges, planning, and ports and marine. Our global network of top-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries.
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer for immediate employment in the New York, NY office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Plans, directs and coordinates activities to ensure staff is aware of and implements policies and established procedures as well as quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with applicable company, owner and government regulations and requirements are met
Establishes and conducts internal and external audits to ensure quality assurance and quality control requirements are met
Decides acceptance or rejection of work in process and completed work activities
Communicates status of compliance with Project Management
Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies
Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization
Supports Project Manager and project to meet schedule and to resolve technical problems
In some instances, may be responsible for functional area and does not have direct reports
High school diploma
10+ years of relevant work experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to observe and inspect work performed on site in the field
Technical knowledge of work performed by the construction contractor(s)
Ability to write status reports and make recommendations for corrective actions to be taken for non-compliant work
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
- Bachelor's degree in related field
