Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Field Engineer for immediate employment in the New York, NY office. This position will assist the lower Manhattan construction management staff.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct analyses and site inspections

  • Prepare RFI requests, reports, drawings, graphs, tables, computations and correspondence are required

  • Provide support to construction management and design staff

  • Perform design reviews to ensure that adequate standards have been applied

  • Assist with the oversight of quality, contract administration, safety and any/all construction related issues

  • Work with other program area staff to incorporate revisions to plans and guidelines as required

  • Attend design and construction review meetings; prepare change order estimates and scope of work

  • Maintain familiarity with NYCT current policies and procedures

  • Test and inspect MEP, electrical and communications systems

  • Coordinate, manage and participate in weekend General Order work

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years of full time engineering work experience

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience with CADD related to capital project construction and design

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience

  • P.E Licensed

  • NYCT training will be required
